Outdoor Shooting Range Rules
 

There are three outdoor range’s 100 yards, 50 yards and 25 yards.

 

The 100 and 50 yard ranges must be shot at from the M.C.S.A. pavilion area only; you may walk up to any distance and shoot on the enclosed 25 yard range ONLY.

 

No one may walk past the front post of the pavilion until EVERYONE in the pavilion gives the OK and the flag is flown.

 

Anyone going down range must fly the orange flag provided to signify cease-fire.

 

You must provide your own targets on the Outdoor ranges. (Note: Bring Clothes Pins to hang targets)

 

The Enclosed 25-yd range is the ONLY RANGE YOU MAY VARY YOUR SHOOTING DISTANCE.

  1.     Proof of membership must be shown on request. (WE DO ASK - do not be offended)

  2.     Monday thru Saturday no shooting before 8AM.

  3.     Sunday - NO shooting before 12 Noon.

  4.     All shooting must cease ½ hour before Dusk or PGC Hunting Hours.

  5.     Paper targets only (DO NOT hang targets on the support posts, use the chicken wire and clips).

  6.     The use of Bottles and Cans is strictly forbidden.

  7.     Positively no full automatic handguns or rifles.

  8.     No alchoholic beverages allowed on ranges.

  9.     You have ½ hour to shoot when people are waiting.

10.     Be courteous to others on the range.

11.     Remove targets and put all waste in trash when you are done.

12.     Respect others and club property.

13.     No rapid fire is allowed. (Please count at least 1 second in between shots)

14.     Pick up empty Brass, Steel, etc. and put it in the specific bucket.

15.     Put ALL live rounds or misfires in the dud box.

16.     All muzzels must be pointed at backstop or the ground when loading or while loaded (never in the air when chambering).

17.     All actions must be open and visible on the line when anyone is down range.

18.     The use of Clay birds or any moving targets is strickly forbidden.

19.     All Rifles on the bench must be fired threw the shooting tubes provided.

20.     Positively no Black Powder firearms are to use the shooting tubes.

21.     The ranges will be closed on third Tuesday at 7PM (For Monthly Members Meeting).

22.     No shooting on any ranges when club is rented or there is any Non-shooting function.

23.     No shooting when the ‘NO SHOOTING’ signs are displayed.

24.     NO Firearm should be touched while anyone is down range.

 

HANDGUNS

 

ANYONE using handguns on the outdoor range and/or our indoor range:

 

MUST QUALIFY with one of M.C.S.A.’s instructors before shooting on Association Property. 

 

We will ask to see your member card as well as your instructor signed M.C.S.A RANGE QUALIFICATION card if it has been a recent qualification. 

 

 

Indoor Shooting Range Rules

1. NO Magnum or Hot Loads may be used.

2. There will be a Range Master or Instructor on duty or the range will be closed.

3. All Range Commands will be obeyed.

4. All Muzzles in the Fireing Line must be pointed down range at all times, never in the air

5. All Firearms on the Line Of Fire must have actions open and visible when not in use.

7. Anyone not able to hit their target will be asked to stop and/or leave the property.

8. ALL SHOOTERS MUST SIGN THE M.C.S.A. RELEASE FORM.

9. NO Firearms should be touched while anyone is down range.

 

 

HANDGUNS

 

ANYONE using handguns on the outdoor range and/or our indoor range:

 

Everyone MUST QUALIFY with one of M.C.S.A.’s instructors before shooting a pistol on association property. 

 

We will ask to see your member card as well as your instructor signed M.C.S.A RANGE QUALIFICATION card if it has been a recent qualification. (WE DO ASK - do not be offended)
