Range Rules & Safety

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all members, please read and follow all range rules carefully.

Outdoor Open Range Area

100, 50, and 25 yard targets available for members only.
Membership card and Range Qualification card (for pistol use) must be present at all times.
Shotguns may only be used at the 50-yard range.
No rapid fire - 1001 count rule applies.

Outdoor Contained Range Area

Restricted to pre-qualified members with visible membership and qualification cards.
No shotguns allowed in this area.
25-yard distance divided into marked firing lines.
No rapid fire - 1001 count rule applies.

Indoor Range Area

Climate-controlled indoor range with multiple lanes.
Range Safety Officers and targets provided (donation required).
No rapid fire - 1001 count rule applies.
Clean up after use: spent cases, targets, and litter.
Duds must go in the dud box located on the center post.
No guests allowed at any time on the ranges.

General Safety Rules

Treat all firearms as if they are loaded.
Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
Always point firearms in a safe direction.
Know your target and what is beyond it.
Ensure your firearm is safe and using correct ammunition.

Firing Line Procedures

Load firearms only on the firing line.
Unload and bench all firearms during cease-fire.
Verify all firearms are safe before going downrange.
Never fire until all persons are clear and ready.

Additional Range Rules

No cross-firing or black powder firearms.
Eye and ear protection required.
No food, drinks, or smoking on the range.
Proper footwear required — no open-toed shoes.
No alcohol, horseplay, or open carry on premises.
Targets must be paper — no bottles, cans, or hanging from supports.
All shooting ends 30 minutes before sunset (or 7 PM on meeting nights).
Ranges may close without notice during club events — watch for posted signs.

Membership and qualification cards must be visible at all times. Safety is our top priority — your cooperation ensures a great experience for all members.

Monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
